Highlights from Fran's visit

We were happy to host my aunt Fran for a long weekend as well. here are some highlights.

Marlins' game:

we got the tix for geoff on fathers day
we've made a tradition of taking our guests to ghiradelli's on lincoln rd. and by taking i really mean they've all been too nice to let us treat them and they've ended up treating us. thank you for the sweet treat!

Julie and Leslie Came to visit us!

I was thrilled when my aunt and cousin told us they'd like to come stay with us a few days. I LOVE these girls! we had a great time and Garrett learned to walk while holding on to only one hand, thanks to aunt julie!

Julie and Leslie helped me decide on which ride-on to get Garrett for his birthday in Grammy and Gramps' behalf. We decided on Lil' Einsteins and Garrett LOVES it! Thanks Gramps and Gram what a great idea!

July 24th is Pioneer Day. In the 1800's the first members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints were persecuted for their beliefs and forced to leave their homes (most of them had gathered in Illinois and Missouri but countless others were still in Europe and locations throughout the globe) They trekked westward (ultimately many ended up in Utah) in search of a land where they could worship the Lord in peace. Countless passed away in their noble efforts. How grateful I am for their sacrifices. I’m sure they smile from heaven as they look down at a church who has grown to be more than 13,000,000 members and in more than 150 countries. Thank you thank you for the foundation you laid with your journey of faith, pioneers. And thank you to the outstanding examples of new members of the church who are in their own right, pioneers, as well! Garrett was ready for a bottle and a nap on the way home
watching fireworks from our balcony. we could see key biscayne, bayfront park and south beach! none were right overhead but that also meant we didnt have to worry about the noise scaring garrett either.
