Washington- finally! June 2012

Travis returned home form his mission in tuxtla gutierrez mexico and we were due for a visit to Washington to reunite with Tingeys and Weights!  It is so nice to go to one place and see so many family members- it really makes us wish we lived nearby.  Theres always someone doing something and plenty of cousins and helping hands around.  The kids loved the special attention from  Maga and Papa- thanks so much for clearing your schedules!  and the endless playtime with Uncle Josh and Uncle Travis totally made their days!  You two are so patient- thanks for giving up your free time!   We enjoyed seeing Cami and Curtis's house  for the first time.  We were lucky enough to fly into Portland so we celebrated the 4th of July at Grandma and Grandpa Weight's with the Bairs and Allens.

Then we drove to the tri-cities and celebrated with the Tingeys that evening .  i was having too much fun visitting at cindy's but i got a few videos from jenny's.  thanks for the wonderful parties yall!  so wish we lived near!


Geoff and I both enjoyed a group date with all the bros and sis.  Travis and Geoff planned it- Olympics theme.  Each team had to make up a team name and paint shirts then compete in the following events: baseball (batting then dizzy running), gymnastics (twister), shot put or discus ( throwing waterballoons in the culdesac) and finally synchronized swimming (making up a min long dance routine to perform on the tramponline while the sprinkler was spraying from underneath.)  The song choices were chose by Geoff they were:
Curtis and Cami- Eye of the Tiger
Travis (recent rm)- I like Big Butts
Josh (16 yr old on first date ever)- Dont You Wish your boyfriend was hot like me
and finally Travis chose Geoff and my song- Man, I feel like a Woman.
It was a hoot!  At the end we enjoyed "international cousine"  itallian sodas, quesadillas, sweet and sour chicken, and peach cobbler.

My favorite of the vacation included big family gatherings i love enjoying the company of loveing grandparents, fun and welcoming aunts and uncles, and entertaining cousins!

Geoffs favorite was the boat ride where he skied and garrett tubed.

 Emmys favorite was probably taking pics with her name sake Grandma Tingey!

Bagwell Disney Trip- May 2012

Papi and Ahbi had plans to come to Orlando for a work trip but decided to come a few days early and put us all up in a vacation club so we could do Disney together! Every grandkids (and grandparents) dream-thanks ahbi and papi!

 The kids were thrilled to spend time with Millie, Niki, and Buck. 

We enjoyed Magic Kingdom one day.  Millie kept saying "mouse" everytime shed see a mouse head- so cute.

We enjoyed a pool day or two and even got free snowcones and to hold an alligator- Marriott really knows how to do vacations right!  The hotel had a playground and little baby frogs on ever sidewalk and under the stairwells.  needless to say the kids were very happy.

We couldnt decide where we should take our family picture so we tried Disney and the Orlando Temple.  I love the artsy look to the temple pic but the Disney one reminds us of our fun time!

Ahbi took garrett at his request all the way to the front of the park to meet rapunzel or as he calls her princess hair.  When they finally made it the line said it would be a wait of 2 hrs which she then started waiting.  We finished our ride and came and i took a turn holding the now sleeping garrett in the blazing heat.  She must really love that kid!

 ONe of the highlights of the day was when Papi and Ahbi treated us to a character Lunch.  Garrett was super cute with his excitement at meeting each one.
