Valentines Week Excitement
So Garrett has loved expereiencing this sweet holiday. He made a huge mess eating a yummy chocolate sucker at buck and niki's (so much so i threw him in their tub and then cleaned the chocolate off the tub - SUPRISE! buck and niki) Also checking the mail has been a highlight of his day. Wee got lots of cards and even a couple packages. Everytime we opened something new he hmm cant think of how to explain the sound but he inhales with excitement so that soemthing like "eeehuh....." comes out in anticipation of what could be inside. Thanks for thinking of us valentines! We love yall. Garrett loves his new gorilla form the dabneys . Here he is hugging it as chocolate runs down his chin, giving it a ride, and putting it down for a nap.

Snow Day
A couple Saturdays ago we had a good snow and spent the day playing in it. We kicked it off with a walk to the duck pond. garrett now knows how to honk like geese instead of mooing at every animal he sees. Then we tried to find our ward for a sledding party. We couldnt find them so Garrett and I slid down the hill on my pants :) and then we played aorund in the snow a bit. He was tuckered out by noon. It was fabulous!

what we've been up to
University Mall has an indoors playground we visit at least once a week. Garrett loves climbing through the log and can make it up the stairs on his own (or in this case with help from a lady friend he met there) and then goes down a slide.
The boy loves spagetti-os and hotdogs. mmm mmm good!
We went to $1 day at BYU men's basketball. Garrett LOVED it and watched 3/4ths of it then we went on a walk around the building. He even did rararara gooo cougars! kinda :)-
We went to BYU's nature museum. He really enjoyed this too and could have stayed all night.
Provo's library is amazing and offers storytime multiple times durign the week .. We hit this up once a week as well. Tyler, our pal from the miami internship, made it this week with us. They sing, dance and listen to a story and the grand finale of it all is a puppet show.
FOr soem reason Garrett now thinks "nodle" noodles belong on his head. I lvoe how he's not even laughing at himself here.

christmas and the move
we're alive and umm... cold.
we made it! first thanks to EVERYONE who helped with the move: miami, utah, and washington. we are so grateful for grandpa tingey for making the drive with geoff and for ahbi papi buck and niki for help moving to and from the storage unit in utah. and grandma tingey for spending cleaning and parenting time with garrett and me!
we had a BLAST in washington celebrating christmas and ringing in the new year. we met our doll of a niece paige and think she is so fun!
we are in our new basement apt. a first for us. we're still unpackign and trying to adjust to ceilings that are just above our heads and outdated cabinets and wall papper. its really a hoot. we love the floor plan of our new place cause no one can see our dirty dishes from the living room :) and most importantly garrett has his own room which tadada dahhhh he sleeps in!!!!!! i love my child! hes so easy going!

go dog go
The "pup"cakes
The gift that stole the show.... a saxophone from aunt niki and uncle buck! Every gift after that became a contest to see if he would trade the saxophone for the new gift. Saxophone came off conqueror but Garrett is grateful for a bunch o fnew toys, books, clothes, sippies, and balls. Thanks to all!
Jack showing Garrett how his new remote control car works.

Look at those dogs go! Where are they going in those cars?
Thanks Dada and Uncle Buck for making these cool cars for the relay race.
Linda geared up for her leg of the race. We had to wear hats, gloves, scarf, and goggles just liek the driving dogs in the book.
Do you like my hat? We each made a party hat in honor of the dog in the book that always asks "do you like my hat?"
